	The West Pittston Fire Department No.1 was organized in 1889. Your generous donations over the years, helped us maintain a department of equipment that is ready and in service 365 days a year. The West Pittston Fire Dept. proudly protects a population of 5000 residents. We also respond into our surrounding communities when requested for mutual aid. We have an active membership of about 30 highly trained, professional firefighters. MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE ALWAYS BEING ACCEPTED (Our meeting nights are the second Tuesday of the month at 8pm.)			29.0ft Lower Susquehanna Ave. begins to flood. 31.0ft West Pittston and Duryea are affected.
